There she sat all alone by the window
In her diary, she confides her sorrows
There was no happiness she could borrow
Why is this little soul crying?
Could it be that her hopes are dying?
She sees blood on her doorstep every day
She is so sad that there are no words that she could say
Ashes flew in the breeze, the aftermath of an explosion
Like a world viewed with distortion,
War pollutes the Earth, killing all its inhabitants
Why can't we live in peace without aggravation?
We could spare several lives from weeping
And those people that they love would still be living
Would'nt the world be a better place without the killing?
In her diary, she confides her sorrows
There was no happiness she could borrow
Why is this little soul crying?
Could it be that her hopes are dying?
She sees blood on her doorstep every day
She is so sad that there are no words that she could say
Ashes flew in the breeze, the aftermath of an explosion
Like a world viewed with distortion,
War pollutes the Earth, killing all its inhabitants
Why can't we live in peace without aggravation?
We could spare several lives from weeping
And those people that they love would still be living
Would'nt the world be a better place without the killing?
