Steve Wise   Kamilah, I can't believe that you ever slacked off at anything you did. It was a delight to have you in my classes. I am happy that you learned something from me. It is a great delight to think that iIhave been of some assistance to my students on their path to a better future. You have so much to offer your faith, your country, and hopefully someday a caring and understanding husband. All the best in Canada. :')

Memori Keropok Lekor

Eh, who knows where the headgirl of SESMA 2009 is right now? and....tu setakat yang ingatlah tentang sekolah yang dikunjungi), kalau berkesempatan lalu Batu Buruk, mesti singgah beli keropok lekor. Best gila. Nampak sangat muka kuat "jjella", huhu). Kita makan 'cover-cover', konon ayulah kot. And then, berduyun-duyun pergi...

Kemamai in Kemaman

Yeahp, a two-day trip to Kelantan. 2nd Raya, went for the alumni thing. I'm so, so glad many of my batchmates turned up, but too bad, it was all rushed, and I didn't get to chat with most of them. I only got, like, two minutes each? Then, the next day, back to KL via Ganu. Hence, the title. I reached home at around 3 a.m. Okay, no mood to post. Later.

Honestly

I'm not so much in a Raya mood. Well, the fact that I'm totally broke, JPA has yet to give me money, and I don't get any pineapple tarts this year, contributes as much to the non-Raya-ing mood. However, the other major factor of non-Raya mood are my grades. Yes, it's an 'A' okay, but with people getting 90's, they make mine look like CRAP. And the fact that the assessment is not over yet, leaves me feeling paranoid. Obssessed. October will be a full month for me. UNIT THREE CHEMISTRY, MACBETH and ISU, UNIT THREE ADVANCED FUNCTIONS, COMPUTER SCIENCE CPT, omg...and.....Musical Theatre..October is like, the last leg before the finals, and if I don't give it all out, bye-bye 90's..or even 80's...my God...pressure is building up, I just hope that I don't explode. However, I'm looking forward to going back to Kelantan, although it's just for a day, and I don't knowhow many people will actually turn up. And another thing, using U.O.X...

Alright, still ?

Hi everyone! What a perky way to start, very unusual of me, and as if I actually have a big audience reading this blog. Oh well, I guess, I am..alright        still     ? Works are piling up, I have quizzes/tests/assignments due almost on a weekly basis, and at the same time, I have to keep up with the daily syllabus. I was just trying to put my finger on Quantum Chemistry. Some people have it easy because in their brief time at Uni, they already learnt a bit. Today I have to finish Advanced Functions poster, Chemistry and Essay research on Social Evils (I hate this, but I have to do it, so yeah). Computer Science just started to get serious recently, and I have to be very detailed especially because the program is case-sensitive, and the spacing as well, I have to take note of that. I might need to get a new portable information storage device soon. Then, there's the community service to think about. There are many opti...

First Day of Insanity

CPU is damn busy. Yeah, and the community service to think about. This is first day: I woke up at 5.45 am. I got myself ready at 6.15. Got on the bus and bus moves at 6.30 am. I reached there an hour earlier before my class started. 1st period was Advanced Functions with Ms. Cultraro, a twenty-something really pretty lecturer. Started off with ice-breaking. We were required to ask other people to answer Maths questions on a piece of paper. I know, they were simple maths and Add Maths, but my brain has been half-dead for so long, I was like, wha-? oh..God, I hope it doesnt happen again! I answered two questions incorrectly. Oh, and she told us to get the textbook, tomorrow we're using it. She said, actually they only allow original copies, but yeah, she knows we have a financial constraint, so she's going to pretend she didn't say anything, but if the Candian officers come and check up on us, it's gotta go into hiding. Original copies costs RM 215, the photostat ve...

Welcome To College

First of all, I'm staying at Casa Subang. and it's creepy. why? 1. dimly-lit hallways 2. lots of blacks, damn I sound racist, some of them do get drunk. my room is: 1. cramped 2. hot I HAVE YET TO FIND A CALENDER AND A PLANNER. grr.... takkan aku nak jalan pergi Summit, letih wo. So, next time I go back home, I need to get some more stuff. oh yeah, I HATE SUBANG TRAFFIC. Tomorrow my class starts. YAY! My temporary schedule, that is, if I can change it la: Friggin' 8.00 am to 9.15 am: Advanced Functions (oh, Cikgu Zakiah, I remember how sleepy I was in your Add Maths class in the morning, now no more) 9.15 am to 10.30 am: International Business Fundamentals (why laa?? Bot got Computer Science, no fair) 10.30 am to 11.15 am: Chemistry I forgot the time, but after that it's English. I finish around 1. But for Orientation week, we have all these workshops in the afternoon at 3 to 4, oh, and LOTS of workshop, so, still have to stay back.. ...

It's All Coming Back To Me Now

Well, I'm back from Kelantan, still a relentless ball of energy. weird. I went back to school, I didn't see all of the teachers. Teacher Rozi is almost always not around everytime I returned to Kelantan. Suddenly, all those school memories came flooding back to me. I could almost see my girls and I  celebrating Habibah's birthday with a snow-white cake at the Sick Bay. It ended abruptly when Amy stubbed her toenail that night. I could see Jaja and I during afternoon prep, playing around at the garden, well, looks less like a garden now, in front of the library, pigging out on buah celagi. I saw myself hanging around the pantry with the other kids, stuffing themselves with candy during recess. I saw many things, you know, like your life flashes before your eyes thing. Then, the 3 Alpha corridor. The cloudy starless night before Chemistry exam. The rush of emotions, the weakening in the knees, the shaking of the hands, the hot flushed face and cold sweat running d...

okayy..berlambak post bulan ni

I've started packing for college! I have one big bag of clothes. Itu pun ada lagi yang belum cukup. I took out some. Well, I didn't know what to bring, I just put everything I felt like wearing, shortsleeved shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, blouses, jeans, slacks, tracksuits, I even brought two pairs of my nenek's kurung, because I haven't worn them yet. My tudungs of various colors, brooches. Hangars and clothes pegs. washing stuff, I'm missing a berus and baldi . and cadar . Toiletries. Another smaller bag of stationary, my mum's General Chemistry (God, I hate the typewriter font) and Calculus books (which of course, I tried reading, but I don't really get it), TOEFL textbook, just in case I decide to take it on my own, see how it goes with this ICPU thing first. I also brought my Form 5 Physics and Chemistry notes. I have yet to buy log books which  plan to use during lectures, they're a lot easier to manage compared to lose sheets of paper. you k...

kenapa 'interesting'?

Saya baru juga memahami konsep off side . For one thing , apabila saya menonton match Germany vs. England, nyata, saya jatuh hati dengan cara permainan Germany. Jadinya, walaupun saya sudah sedia maklum, ramai rakan-rakan sekalian menyokong Argentina, well...

How Much I Watch FIFA This Year

I am generally not a football fan. I don't have that attention span to watch how the ball gets passed around back and forth between two ends of the field, and I just don't get the hype to shout "GOAL!". I've watched FIFA finals in 2004, and that's about that. I don't watch EPL, or any other football matches. Well, I value sleep more than having to stay up at 2 am to watch football. Then in 2009, I watched the Kelantan-Negeri Sembilan match, and I decided, that's it, I'm not watching anymore local football. It was so agitating watching them play like amateurs compared to the real action in FIFA. So far, this year, I watched: Germany vs. Serbia Portugal vs. Korea DPR Brazil vs. Portugal Germany vs. England Paraguay vs. Japan Spain vs. Portugal Not that many matches, I know. During prelims, I only watch the 7 o'clock slots.Yeah, I hate to stay up, and I'm more likely to be in front of the computer. I actually stayed up until 2 for S...

Confession

I grew up in KL, but I don't know the friggin' way around it. Put me in the middle of KL, or tell me to find my way to certain places, and I'll get lost for sure. I've never taken the bus in KL, so I think I know Kelantan bus routes better. I'm so paranoid of crowds, getting lost, getting kidnapped in a public transport. I've only been to Midvalley once. It's so big I get lost, I don't have proper bearings there. Well, it takes time even for me to get my bearings right. The parking lots are creepy. Thank God some interviews were conducted at KL Sentral area, if not, I wouldn't even know what's there or how to take an LRT myself. It's quite simple actually. I've never been to The Curve, Pavillion, Sunway Pyramid. No reason to go there either. They're all the same to me. I've been to Times Square whatnot, and they're just lepak places. Maybe it's because I haven't been there yet that I say so, once I've act...

Underneath Your Clothes

Honestly, NOTHING dirty in this blog post, chill. That's a Shakira song that I really like. I haven't any idea for a blog post title, I just so happen to be listening to this song. Okay, I'm blogging to put things into perspective. 1. Pa just got a call from this Yayasan thing offering to give me a scholarship ONLY for my Foundation studies. Interview's this Saturday, proabably meting their Board of Trustees, so, sorry, can't hang out with some of ya guys. The thing is, I know I still pine for JPA, but the last time, what happened? Although I'd much rather want JPA (overseas appeal) or MARA, but looking at the circumstances of the very very very slim chance of getting it, well, if I got it, I'd be considered very lucky, in fact, it'd be a miracle, but maybe this Yayasan thing is a back door, just in case JPA ditched me again. Perhaps God is offering me a way out of this. And yes, I admit, I dread interviews, I'd rather start studying alre...

extreme tiredness and aching feet

what a cheerful blog post title. sore feet from standing in half-inch heels. all that serebeh-ness in kurung and selendang for a whole day. basically, I'm not going to post what the activties were exactly, but a few keypoints on what Khazanah looks for in it's scholar is basically leadership in general. For the first task, they're looking at resilience: encompassing interpersonal skills, self-confidence and work smart. The second task, they're looking at strategic thinking: encompassing forward-thinking and breakthrough thinking The third task: simply integrity well, to note, Khazanah was pretty generous since they supplied us with buffet lunch at PNB Darby Park, and they were transparent enough about the criterias they look for. oh, one of the questions that got my attention was: did you apply for biomedical engineering as a scapegoat because Khazanah doesn't offer medicine? i bet you applied medicine for other scholarships. my answer was: no w...

Just When I Thought

the busy-ness is over, it has started again. Despite not going for Petronas, I got through to second stage for Khazanah! A whole day on the 26th of April, from 8 am to 5.30 pm at PNB Darby Park. This is even more gila than Sime Darby. Oh well, I guess, I am destined to go by the hard way to get a scholarship. Telekom definitely rejected me, Petronas didn't go for it, PNB kind of quiet. JPA by 3rd week of May. Shell and Sime Darby itself no news. I have to do my best for Khazanah. Four stages man. walau bagaimanapun, JPA tetap menjadi harapan utama, even though not as enticing as Khazanah, but it is the most likely to get, hopefully. Graduation is indefinitely postponed, I don't know if I'll ever make it, but I'd really want to see my friends for the last time.

Hey Soul Sister

I love that song! I just realized that my last post was three weeks ago. It's like I've been to asrama and have not been able to post anything until outing day or cuti. anyway, a quick update. I've applied for these scholarships: 1. YTN 2. YTM 3. Khazanah 4. Petronas 5. JPA 6. PNB 7. Shell 8. Sime Darby I went for PNB on 1st April. It was a CRTB. I forgot what CR stands for, but TB is Test Battery, which consisted of English, Maths and Visual Spatial IQ test. I answered everything. It was comparatively easier compared to Sime Darby (the one I went for my Trials result). As usual, I was not as good with Maths. On 8th April, I went for JPA. It irked me for one thing, there were more questions asked in Malay. I was the last in line for the first group. It was like a simultaneous one-on-one interview. Most questions asked were about the Malaysian government, economy (well, owing to most of the people in the room wanted to take accountancy and economics) and JPA ...
