Of Ramadan, Books and Lasagne

Okay, my fingers were itching for the keyboard, although I've accidentally cut one of it when I was cutting the carrots for the lasagne. Well, I can't call myself a cook compared to my chef of a sister.

we made two, one round one and one square one. This is the end product:




It was her idea to make the lasagne, but we all chiped in to get it done. This was before it was cooked. Cheese wonderland:



Yesterday, I went to MPH to spend my 300-worth vouchers. It turned out that my enthusiasm just died because not many of the titles actually made my mouth water, so I let my sis do her choosing. She chose a Stephen King 'Just After Sunset' and Jodi Picoult's 'Handle With Care.' Stephen King's was mildly crude in language, whereas Jodi Picoult's was a tad bit, well, I can't find the adjective for it, but all the same brilliant.

Seriously, I knew what was coming, it was the same 'My Sister's Keeper' formula with the medical lawsuit and family crisis, but I can't bring myself steady to face such compelling story-telling, and it left me feeling blown-away? Now that's exaggerating, but it was. I spent the whole day today just reading that book, and now have a headache for lying in bed all day.

Spider-man

Firstly, I should make my biases clear, but I'm pretty sure it's obvious. I've seen the Sam Raimi trilogy and of course, I will be comparing it to the reboot. Memori Keropok Lekor

Setiap kali ada school trip ke SBP pantai timur di Pahang atau Terengganu (seingatnya, pernah mengunjungi SESTER-Perfect Score Zon Timur 2009, SBPI B. Rakit-HKSBP Zon timur 2008 kot? SHAH Pekan- HKSBP Zon Timur 2006, SESMA-bermalam untuk Sambutan Hari Guru Kebangsaan. Eh, who knows where the headgirl of SESMA 2009 is right now? and....tu setakat yang ingatlah tentang sekolah yang dikunjungi), kalau berkesempatan lalu Batu Buruk, mesti singgah beli keropok lekor. Best gila. Sekali beli mesti habis dalam RM 50, sebab beli untuk cikgu, untuk kelas, untuk ahli dorm. Sesampainya di kelas, keropok lekor akan dibahagikan untuk bahagian budak-budak (budak-budak?) laki and budak-budak perempuan.
